Cora has gained a lot of experience working full time with Spectrum Health since 2017. Prior to joining Spectrum Health, Cora had two years of experience carrying out gait analysis and prescribing custom-made orthotics.
Cora received her core training from Merlin Park Podiatry Clinic in Galway. Some of the clinical aspects to the Podiatry course included: Routine podiatric care, Diabetic foot care, vascular and neurological assessments, musculoskeletal assessments and wound management.
As part of her studies, she also gained some experience in the HSE and in private practice, where she had the opportunity to work alongside other health care professionals in the multi-disciplinary team.
Cora has a keen interest in biomechanical assessment and orthotic prescription. She also has an interest in verruca treatment and routine podiatric care- explaining the cause, treatment and management plan, in a way that is easy to understand. She aims to achieve the best outcome possible and provides a high standard of care in a kind and friendly manner.
She keeps up to date with continuous professional development by reflecting on podiatry webinars, zoom lectures and attending podiatry conferences. In her spare time, she likes to go outdoors- hiking and taking her dog Luna for a walk.
