Spectrum Health – The Podiatry Experts

Everything you need to know about your appointment with Spectrum Foot Clinics – Churchtown.

Your first appointment focuses on understanding your symptoms and foot health. Your clinician will ask about your medical history, examine your feet, and explain any issues clearly. Treatment may begin on the same day, depending on your condition.

Appointments typically last between 30–45 minutes. Pricing can vary depending on the treatment required, but our standard appointment fee is €80.

No, you don’t need a referral to see a podiatrist or footcare specialist. You can book directly with us at a time that suits you.

We work with all major insurers – Vhi, Laya and Irish Life. We recommend you check your own policy for its terms and conditions to see what cover you have.

Please note:
Some private medical insurers only cover treatment provided by a CORU registered podiatrist and may not cover appointments with Foot Health Practitioners (FHPs).

If you plan to claim through insurance, we recommend reviewing your policy documentation or contacting your insurer directly to confirm your eligibility and level of cover.

Learn more about the difference between a podiatrist and a Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) in our FAQs.

We treat a wide range of foot and lower limb issues, including:

  • Corns and calluses
  • Ingrown toenails
  • Fungal nail infections
  • Verrucas (plantar warts)
  • Heel pain (including plantar fasciitis)
  • Diabetic foot care

If you’re unsure, just get in touch – we’ll point you in the right direction.

If you have an ongoing condition, regular foot care is essential. Our clinicians are experienced in managing high-risk feet and can help prevent complications through routine care and monitoring.

Most treatments are designed to relieve discomfort, not cause it. You may feel slight pressure during certain procedures, but your clinician will always make sure you’re comfortable throughout.

We aim to offer appointments as quickly as possible, often within a few days. Availability can vary by clinic, so booking early is recommended.

Bring any relevant medical information, a list of medications, and comfortable footwear. There’s no major prep needed – just arrive a few minutes early and we’ll take care of the rest.

Our patient’s health journeys.

Honest experiences from people who’ve trusted us to help them move better and feel stronger.
