How We Can Help

What is gluten? Gluten is a general name for the proteins found in wheat, rye, barley and triticale – a cross between wheat and rye. Gluten helps foods maintain their shape, acting as a glue that holds food together. Gluten can be found in many types of foods, even ones that would not be expected.

Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disease where there is a permanent reaction to dietary gluten which can cause damage and cause inflammation in the intestine. A lifelong gluten free diet should be adhered to in coeliac disease.

We recommend that you book in for a 45 minute initial consultation with a fully qualified Dietitian.

During your initial assessment we will carry out:

  • A complete nutritional assessment
  • Diet history
  • Body composition analysis, including: weight, BMI, waist circumference, body fat percentage, lean body mass, waist to hip measurement, and more.

Together with your Dietitian you can decide on a realistic goal for you.

You will receive a starter meal plan tailored for your calorie and nutritional requirements.
