Gait Analysis Treatment

Gait Analysis Services From Our Expert Podiatrists.

Gait analysis is a method used to assess the way in which we run or walk to determine if we have any biomechanical or structural abnormalities in our lower limbs and feet.

Spectrum Health Podiatrists will do a biomechanical analysis and may use a gait scanner to analyse and record your gait pattern so that they can make a comprehensive decision on your treatment and needs. The gait scan analysis will involve walking across the gait scanner and the scanner is pressure sensitive so it will pick up where, when and how your foot touches the ground. This tells the Podiatrist a lot about the biomechanical structure of your feet and lower limbs.

From the gait analysis they can see the underlying cause of many foot and lower limb conditions and so can provide more accurate and appropriate treatment specific to you. The gait scan can be used to make a pair of custom designed orthotics to meet the needs of your condition.

This is a brilliant place to go to if you are anyway nervous or anxious because they make you feel very comfortable before starting and are very chatty and polite. I got treated by a lady called Aoife who was so lovely and kind. I would highly recommend her and the clinic A+++

Using Spectrum Foot Clinics was the best move I ever made regarding having my husbands feet being seen to, he's had diabetes for about nine years and found it difficult to find a suitable chiropodist (as was suggested by his diabetic nurse). I found your Clinic by searching on Google.I phoned in the morning, and made an appointment for that same afternoon, which pleasantly surprised me. The attention and professionalism we received by the podiatrist Saoirse Waldron, was warm, welcoming and reassuring. To anyone who suffers with foot problems, I would highly recommend a visit to your Clinic. I had my own feet seen to on the same day and what a difference it made!!!

Great place. I turned up on time for my appointment and was seen straight away. If only more places were like this. Chiropodist did the examination and assured me nothing much was wrong, this is what I wanted to hear. Very reassured and happy with the service.
