GP & Consultant Referrals

Trusted allied health services for your patients

Spectrum Health works in partnership with GPs and Consultants to provide timely, evidence-based allied health care across Physiotherapy, Podiatry & Chiropody, and Nutrition & Dietetics.

We focus on clear referral pathways, prompt access to care and appropriate clinical feedback to support continuity of patient management.

How to Refer:

Referrals via Healthmail

Spectrum Health accepts secure referrals via Healthmail.

Please include the following information with your referral:

  • Patient full name and date of birth
  • Relevant clinical history and reason for referral
  • Any recent reports or imaging (if applicable)
  • Referrer name, practice details and contact information

Referrals are reviewed promptly and patients are contacted directly to arrange an appointment.

Direct patient booking (where appropriate)

Patients may self-book following GP or Consultant recommendation. Referral letters or clinical notes can be provided by the patient at appointment or forwarded separately via Healthmail.

Physiotherapy 

Spectrum Health Physiotherapy provides assessment and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal and functional conditions, delivered by CORU-registered physiotherapists.

Services include:

  • Musculoskeletal injury and pain management
  • Back, neck, shoulder and joint pain
  • Sports injury rehabilitation
  • Postural assessment and movement dysfunction
  • Manual therapy, exercise prescription, acupuncture and dry needling

 

Podiatry & Chiropody

Our Podiatry & Footcare service provides comprehensive assessment and treatment of foot and lower limb conditions.

Services include:

  • Diabetic foot assessment and ongoing foot care
  • Ingrown toenail treatment and nail surgery
  • Corns, callus and cracked heel management
  • Verrucae and fungal nail treatment
  • Custom orthotics
  • Sports and general podiatry

 

Nutrition & Dietetics

Spectrum Health Nutrition & Dietetics offers evidence-based dietary assessment and intervention tailored to individual clinical needs.

Services include:

  • Weight management and structured programmes
  • Digestive health support including IBS and FODMAP pathways
  • Paediatric nutrition
  • Sports nutrition
  • Nutrition support for chronic health conditions
  • Online consultations and follow-ups

 

What Referrers Can Expect

  • Timely appointment availability across multiple Dublin clinics
  • CORU-registered clinicians working within defined scopes of practice
  • Structured assessment and treatment plans
  • Clinical feedback where appropriate
  • Escalation or referral back to the GP or Consultant if required

Patients remain under the care of their referring clinician, with Spectrum Health providing allied health support as part of the wider care pathway.
